We advice against using own car, expecially from May to Septembe

• From Salerno and the South you can take the Amalfi Coast from Vietri sul Mare and follow the State road 163 until you reach Positano. Once you enter the town continue to the center and stop about 30m after the “Grotta di Fornillo”, the grotto with a miniature nativity scene.

• It’s a bendy road with scenic views!

• From Naples and the North: take the A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno, exit at Castellammare di Stabia, then follow highway 145 to Sorrento and then to SS 163 to Positano. Once you enter the town continue to the center and stop about 30 meters after the “Grotta di Fornillo”, the grotto with a miniature nativity scene.

Napoli Centrale train station/Piazza Garibaldi:

• From the Naples station you can take the “Circumvesuviana” train to Sorrento and then from the Sorrento station a SITA bus to Positano and get off at stop Chiesa nuova/BAR INTERNAZIONALE. (approx 160 min)

During the summer season you can take a MAROZZI or CURRERI bus to Sorrento, then from Sorrento you can take a bus to Praiano (approx. 380 min)

From Capodichino Naples Airport (about 69 km)
